Tickets For Michael Jackson Memorial Service Selling Online

Almost as soon as the lottery was complete Memorial Vouchers for Michael Jackson's service appeared online. It is remarkable that 1.6 million MJ fans registered for the event. Only 15.600 tickets are released to the public and out of those only 11.000 attendees will be let into The Staples Center.
Now if you really want a ticket the sellers have conditions.
Lottery winners can pick up the Michael Jackson Memorial tickets at Dodgers Stadium Monday July 6, 2009 before 6PM Pacific time. This means if you buy a Michael Jackson Memorial ticket online you need to physically meet the seller before 6PM 7/6 and get the voucher containing the code. Buyers then need to go to the Stadium and pick up the actual ticket (s). ID's will also be checked and a wrist band will be snapped on the intended fan. Organizers are saying it's OK to sell the second ticket. That according to CNN.

Ebay has said that any tickets to Michael Jackson's Memorial will be removed when they see them. At upwards of $10.000 for a ticket the scalpers will just move to another corner of the internet or the streets of LA. Reselling event tickets in California is a misdemeanor.

Just as a comment: The folks selling these tickets are more needy than the folks who exploited Michael Jackson sense he was 5. Like his father Joe Jackson and so many others. National Enquirer to Court TV and CNN have made a buck of this guy. So why not small citizens. People that could really use it. MJ would probably think like that. Everyone in the media will make a ton of money off this memorial, but the general public can't. Rich helping the rich again.
